The Director of Total Rewards will lead an aligned total compensation and benefits strategy and program for the Group. The Director of Total Rewards is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation and benefits programs, including base compensation, short term incentives, health and welfare benefits, retirement benefits and long-term incentive programs. The role will also be required to provide consultation on executive compensation matters.
Responsibilities:
In partnership with the Chief People Officer, develop and articulate a Total Rewards strategy aligned with a high growth technology company.
Drives the strategic development, design, implementation, communication, maintenance, and compliance of all compensation programs to align with the company’s Total Rewards philosophy and business objectives.
Identifies, develops, and delivers strategic compensation programs that meet and anticipate the internal needs of the organization while monitoring external trends in the technology industry.
Align area objectives with the strategic goals of the organization and within the function.
Analyses jobs, salaries, and incentives in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of pay practices.
Plans, develops and/or participates in area and industry compensation surveys or special compensation studies, including market-based pricing, to ensure the company’s competitive position within the marketplace.
Review and analyse findings, assess unique company needs and develop specific recommendations to management with respect to the compensation structure.
Responsible for the preparation of job evaluation and salary surveys and establishes salary structures.
Develops compensation budgets, prepares policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation.
Ensures programs are aligned with best market practices. Effectively communicates and leads consultation with key stakeholders, and outside consulting firms as necessary to complete job responsibilities.
Assists directly or engages/manages outside consultants with any specialized matters related to compensation.
Evaluates the market data and provides consultation on new hire offers, retention bonuses, and promotion recommendations.
Consultation and preparation of materials for the Remuneration Committee as required.
In collaboration with Legal, prepare executive compensation materials and documentation necessary for required filings, as a US listed Company.
Perform compensation-related M&A or organisation change work as necessary – due diligence, retention, integration, etc.
Maintain industry knowledge and external market trends for the Technology industry.
Establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with leaders and managers across the organization to ensure our compensation structure supports our strategic objectives.
Educate leaders, managers and employees on the company’s Total Rewards philosophy, processes, and programs.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or related field required, MBA or master’s degree preferred.
15 years of experience designing, managing, and administering compensation programs; incentive compensation plan design experience.
Experience working in Executive Compensation.
Equity plan experience required.
Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, including senior management.
Global compensation experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as part of a high growth organization.
Ability to work collaboratively and to cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with internal and external clients and colleagues.
Well-developed analytical skills.
Ability to drive and sustain operational excellence and to develop management controls.
Exceptional leadership, communication and influencing skills.
Experience in complex project management with the ability to deliver quality recommendations and solutions.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent English language verbal, written and analytical skills.
Strong attention to details.
