Job description

The role:

The Head of Human Resource (HR) is responsible for directing and managing the implementation of HR strategies, policies and programs to support our business in Malaysia.  The individual is expected to work closely with the regional HR team in the development and delivery of HR initiatives. The individual is a member of the Malaysia leadership team and will support the Country Manager to lead and build high performance teams and culture in our Malaysia office. 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Human Resource 

  • Provide HR generalist and advisory services to the business and ensure effective HR services and solutions are provided 
  • Manage all aspects of recruitment, performance management, training, compensation and benefits requirements and ensure a consistent and integrated approach to all HR processes
  • Ensure compliance to company policies, legal or any statutory requirements under employment legislation 
  • Ensure timely communication of changes in HR policies, programs and procedures 
  • Manage and ensure payroll vendor provides accurate and timely payroll services
  • Implement & drive high impact employee engagement activities ranging from employee wellness to community activities

Office Management 

  • Overall management and control of the office premises 
  • Overall management of purchasing for office inventories  
  • Manage all service level agreements with office landlord, building contractors and vendors


  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Business Admin or Human Resources function 
  • Proven skills and experience in relating to people, leading change and producing results is essential
  • Good experience in corporate governance and compliance 
  • Fun, dynamic and energetic self-starter - able to think on his/her feet 
  • Performance focused - a demonstrable track record of exceeding targets
