The role:

Rumah.com is Indonesia’s leading property portal. Voted by consumers in 2016 as ‘Asia’s Most Influential Brand for Online Property Search’, it helps over 5.5 million people find and own their dream home in Indonesia – every month.   


We are seeking a Country Manager to lead all aspects of the local operations and to grow Rumah.com into a “household brand”.  As such, an exciting opportunity awaits a candidate with strong entrepreneurial spirit, looking to build a solid business and leave a mark on a very dynamic geography. The Country Manager will have the overall responsibility to drive the sales strategy and will be accountable for driving profitable growth. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of all Indonesia business, strategy, team and revenues
  • Develop and manage C-level relationships 
  • Recruit and provide leadership to motivate and retain a top performing sales team 
  • Create great relationships with the internal teams (customer services, marketing, editorial, content and technical) to support the business goals
  • Support the development of new products, prices and initiatives working with the marketing and product development teams

Requirements

  • At least 10 years’ experience in building, developing and leading sales teams
  • Preferably has advertising, media or online sales experience
  • Ideally has real estate market experience, understanding or an interest Proven examples of developing ‘greenfield’ sales opportunities and creating and executing aggressive sales plans
  • Performance focused with a demonstrable track record of exceeding targets
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with demonstrated experience of supporting, mentoring and inspiring teams Excellent C-level, consultative selling, relationship building skills
  • Fun, dynamic and energetic self-starter, who thinks on his/her feet
